Today I looked at the BBC. First news, made the announcement that an expert on military strategy (unfortunately I did not understand the name and so I apologize for the news without source) in Afghanistan said the war is lost, unless you change your strategy and not increase the troops.
I can not watch Italian television, so I looked at the site of Corriere and Repubblica. There is no news of such a trace. I thought then that if you wanted to pay tribute to our heroes, you should begin to investigate seriously the question of Afghanistan and not simply report the statements or the slogans of either political turn, as usual, or screams of pain (for charity, honest) of the participants at the funeral. But politics is only declarations and not with the critical appraisal.
Can I bring you another example: a few weeks ago I saw a dibattitoin late evening on a network which focused on the Irish Lisbon Treaty. Presenter was interviewing a famous Irish politician of the moment. Guess who applauded the audience?
the present, for his blunt questions. The politician has never been applauded.
In Italy, the first national network, have you ever seen such a thing?
