How can you be sitting there
Telling me that you care -
That you care?
When every time I look around,
The people suffer in the suffering
In everyway, in everywhere.
...
I tell you what: some people got everything;
Some people got nothing;
Some people got hopes and dreams;
Some people got ways and means.
I tell you what: some people got everything;
Some people got nothing;
Some people got hopes and dreams;
Some people got ways and means.

Thousands and thousands of people have been displaced and attacks perpetrated by the Ugandan rebel group the Lord's Resistance Army are unprecedented brutality. Doctors Without Borders, in many places the only humanitarian organization in the country, tells of children forced to kill their parents and people burned alive in their homes.
In March 2009, MSN has published a report on year 2008, the ten most serious humanitarian emergencies in the world totally ignored by the Italian television:
- the health crisis in Zimbabwe ;
- the humanitarian catastrophe in Somalia ;
- the health situation in Myanmar ;
- civilians trapped in war Eastern Congo (DRC)
- the child malnutrition ;
- the critical situation in Somali region of Ethiopia ;
- i civili uccisi o in fuga nel Pakistan nord-occidentale;
- la violenza e la sofferenza in Sudan;
- the Iraqi civilians need of assistance;
- the HIV-TB co-infection .
As is noted in the report, "A dramatic event involving a fellow is more news of events or situations that perhaps involving a larger number of victims, but are culturally and geographically more distant "(page 25). So, the question Somali television news of RAI and Mediaset to devote a total of 178 services, of which 93 relate to Italian citizens involved in the crisis.
Speaking of child malnutrition: a "year of hunger," as defined in the report, deserves 110 news, a "winter flu" 121. In Zimbabwe, a country where life expectancy is 34 years and where at the end of August 2008 a cholera epidemic broke out, 12 are devoted to news, while the summer of Briatore and Gregoraci, 33 news. And Ethiopia, dominated by malnutrition and lack of health care, a total of six services a year.
Here instead found the reports of previous years.
